Filming the opening credits

 

We filmed our opening credits by putting shaving foam onto a mirror which then we started to write male grooming in with our fingers. this is really effective for our documentary as it is about male grooming.

Filming John Hemmingway

We filmed John Hemmingway as he is a male hairdresser and he owns his own hairdressing salon. However the footage was not good as he wasn't answering in full sentences and he was not a good candidate for the role.

Filming- The Body Shop

We done an interview in the body shop which relates to male grooming as they have a lot of products. In the interview the women explained that males sometimes buy some of their make up to which is really good for our documentary. We also got some cutaways in there of their products. The interview went really well.

Filming- some cutaways in Superdrug

 

We filmed some short cutaways in Superdrug as they sale male grooming products such as face creams, electric razors and deodorants. This will help when we put the documentary together for cutaways in our interviews.

 

Filming- The Fragrance Shop

We filmed the fragance shop for our male grooming documentary as they sell male products such as aftershave. The interview went really well and we got some good answers of the women and the mise en scene was good and relates well to male grooming. We also filmed some of our cutaways. Hopefully they will be good enough to use for our documentary.
